The Dominican Pesos (RD$) is the only legal tender. The peso is divided into 100 centavos There are coins of 1 ,5 , 10 , and 25 pesos.
Notes of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 pesos. Don't ever change your money on the street , only in banks or in your hotel!
